    Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)

Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) is a revolutionary energy psychology method that offers healing from physical, emotional, and mental pain and health conditions. It is a combination of modern psychology with the spoken part and ancient Eastern with the tapping or rubbing on meridian energy spots.
Similar to acupressure, EFT focuses on the meridian points to restore balance to your body’s energy. … EFT can reduce the stress or negative emotion you feel from an issue by stimulating the meridian points through tapping and ultimately restoring balance to your disrupted energy.

    What Issues Does EFT Help?

EFT is extraordinarily successful in helping with cravings, overeating, addictions, anxiety, depression, phobias, self-esteem, traumas, headaches, physical pain, and much more. It is also widely used as a performance enhancement tool and for eliminating emotional and mental barriers to having successful relationships, creating wealth, losing weight, and generally living happy, healthy, and prosperous lives.

In summary, EFT or energy tapping can be used for pretty much everything.

All events leave an imprint on a cellular level. When the event is positive, the memory attached to it is positive. When the event is negative or traumatic, it triggers a dysfunction that can be detrimental to our emotional, mental, or physical health. At times also it can create chronic pain or illness that nothing else seems to heal. EFT can be a great help for chronic pain and chronic disease as an additive to the other treatments being used.

I got interested in EFT first for myself. I soon after realized that it was the perfect tool to help patients with physical pain, traumatic diagnostics, surgeries, the vicious loop of illnesses or pain adding stress, and any emotional issue creating building blocks to their health, which is pretty much everyone!

History of Emotional Freedom Technique EFT

It’s a technique that was developed over 30 years ago, originally by a man named Roger Callahan. Roger was a traditional psychologist, and he was working one day in particular with a client by the name of Mary. Mary had severe water phobia. By severe, she was scared of taking showers or even drinking water brought anxiety to her. So it was classified as a phobia. They’d been working together for about a year-and-a-half and getting minimal results no matter how many tools Roger had used. Roger, as you can imagine any caring human being would be, was pretty frustrated. When one particular day, they were together by his pool looking at the water, sharing the experience, sort of like exposure therapy. She said, “When I look at the water, I get butterflies in my stomach. I get this queasy feeling in my stomach.” Roger had been reading about acupuncture points in the body, and he had read that the stomach meridian ends underneath the eye, so on a whim, he said, “Try tapping underneath the eye.” So she goes, “Okay.” Tapping underneath the eye and the phobia cleared just like that. You can imagine his astonishment and delight.

What Roger proceeded to do was explore through muscle testing and other mediums what are the different points. He developed sequences or algorithms for the tapping. It was a technique that worked really well, but the challenge was you had to try to remember what to do. One of Roger’s students, Gary Craig, looked at everything he was learning and thought that hitting all the meridian points every time would make be a lot easier. It worked: this is how Gary created Emotional Freedom Technique EFT.
